Anasazi Jeweler founder Francisco Bailon was raised in Kewa Pueblo, New Mexico. Son to a silversmith, his earliest instruction shaped his foundation in silver & turquoise jewelry making. After years of practice, Francisco began to develop his personal style, creating works influenced by Pueblo culture, history, landscapes and art.
Moving into adulthood, his keen attention to detail and steady hands led him to an astonishing 24 year career at Los Alamos National Laboratory. As a machinist, Francisco focused on supporting a wide range of national security programs including plutonium processing, nuclear materials stabilization, nuclear energy and NASA programs, most notably the Cassini spacecraft Mission to Saturn.
Today, happily retired, Francisco has returned to his unequivocal devotion for jewelry making. Focusing his work entirely on shaping new ways to express natural beauty.
